- Note: Walnuts and leather with cherries and hints of dried flowers. It’s medium-to full-bodied with a chewy finish. Solid, with lots of tannins and focus for the vintage. Cool and structured. Give it two or three years to soften. Try after 2023.

- Note: Pretty aromas of ripe strawberries, flowers and wet earth follow through to a medium to full body and firm tannins that are tight and poised, showing energy and vivacity. Excellent for this cool vintage and shows the excellence of this vineyard site. Give it time to soften. Better after 2023.

- Note: Lots of bright berries here with fresh strawberries and some raspberries. Fresh flowers, too. It’s medium-to full- bodied with chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Needs time to soften. Better after 2023.

- Note: While the fruit is dried and ripe, it’s also very focussed and floral. Dried cherries, dried rose petals and orange zest spring into action. The tannins aren’t the most powerful, but they are beautifully integrated with nothing sticking out, one fine strand building over the next. Medium-to full-bodied and vertical and medium-chewy on the finish. Drink from 2023.

- Note: Aromas and flavors of strawberries, cherries and walnuts are well-integrated into a medium body with round, fine tannins and a delicious finish. It really has strength with finesse. Goes on and on. Better after 2023.

- Note: Love the aromas of ripe fruit with a white-truffle and meat undertone. Full-bodied with dense, layered tannins that are intense and powerful, yet very polished and pretty. I appreciate the purity of fruit and rounded tannins, though it needs three or four years to come together. Better after 2023.

- Note: Lots of herbs to this Barolo, as well elderflower, dried lavender and spices. The acidity is pretty edgy on the palate, but the fruit is all there. The tannins are firm yet ripe enough to make this juicy on the finish. Drink in 2020

- Note: This shows some lovely intensity on the nose with dried plums, glazed cherries, creme de cassis and a touch of herbal liqueur. Shows a sturdy tannin backbone with great tension and balance of fruit and acidity. Drink in 2022.

- Note: So much truffle and chanterelle character to this late-release Barolo in addition to tobacco, cedar, figs, dried rose petals and Chinese spices. Full-bodied with delicious chewiness to the tannins, mouthwatering acidity and a long, very spicy finish. Drink in 2020.

- Note: Aromas of rose petals and rose stems with hints of white truffles and ripe strawberries. Full-bodied, chewy and rich with lots of tannins and fruit. Flavorful and long. Needs two or three years for it to start to resolve the tannins. Try in 2021.

- Note: Extremely aromatic with dried flowers and ripe strawberries, which follow through to medium body with fine and silky tannins. A long and flavorful finish. Yet, it always remains fresh and refined. Drink or hold.

- Note: The purity of fruit here is stunning. A cascade of all kinds of fruit tea precedes a fanfare of blueberry peel, bright lemons, heather, freshly pressed lavender, orange rind and grapefruit skin. Full body, bright acidity and layered fruit that’s taken on a long, seemingly endless ride on the finish. So refined and delicate yet powerful and forthcoming. Delicious now, but better in 2022 and a long time after that.
